Today's Koto

土曜はKotoと久しぶりのオビディエンスドレーニングに行って来た。 ４週間というブランクに少し心配していたが、彼女の集中力はかなり上達していて、本当に驚かされた！パートナーがしっかり特訓してくれていた模様。
凄い速さで進歩しているのでなんだかこちらも嬉しくなってくる。毎月のレベルチェックでは必ずパスしてきているし、 来週はレベル４のテストがあるので　今回も頑張って特訓！この分だと絶対パス出来そうだ。 来月からKOTOと一緒にアジリティを始める事になった。今日は朝から候補の学校の見学にいってきた。やはり楽しそうでついついレッスンを見入ってしまったが、この学校では満足出来そうにない事を確認し、来週別の学校の見学に行く事にした！
犬の事ばっかりやっていた週末？という訳でもなく、State of Design exhibitionやOpeningにも行って来てかなりモチベーションアップの週末だった。
また後日報告します♪ We went to Obedience lesson on saturday. Koto improved very much of her focus and concentration. I was really happy to see that and I am pretty sure that she will be able to pass next week assessment for next level up.Sunday, we went to check out agility school, it was exciting to see the lesson, but we decided to try another school to compare. We need to make sure that we can enjoy as well as koto does. Exciting new weekly event will happen soon!

Biggest welcome ever

久しぶりに帰宅した際、外で留守番をしているKOTOに一目散に会うつもりが、前に目に飛び込んで来たのはなんと！珍しくパートナーからの奇麗な花のプレゼントだった。やはり花を貰えるのは本当に嬉しい！
お帰りのメモを読んだ後、そしてKOTOは、、私をみた瞬間「誰？えっ誰？本当に帰って来たの？」５秒程の沈黙が続いたと思いきや、私が「琴〜！」と声を掛けたとたん　しっぽブンブン、バタバタ、がたがた〜、がっしゃーん、、 もう大変な騒ぎだった。こんなに帰りを喜んでくれるなんて本当に幸せだ！写真はお土産のレインコートを来たKoto...かなり迷惑そうな顔でぎこちない動きだった。。
I was running straight to back yard when I finally came back home after 4 weeks of holiday, but 2 vases of beautiful flowers stopped me.
It was a present and welcome home note from my partner! I was very happy! then I opened the door to bring koto back inside, She looked at me for 5 second in silence, looked in shock and as soon as she hear my voice, she started going nuts saying welcome home! Her tail was wagging too hard and she couldn't sit down at all for awhile. very cute! Very remarkable welcome home surprises! I am very happy to be back home now:)piture is koto wearing my suvenier rain coat.. She was annoyed at this suvernier though..

やはり凄い存在感

日本最後の旅行で山梨県の朝霧高原に行った時、霧に覆われた中ほんの少しだけ顔を見せてくれた富士山。
全くひるむ事のない見事な存在感♪高原での風景も最高だった。

The last place I visit in Japan was Asagiri Kogen, near the mount Fuji, There were thick fog around fuji most of the time, but I could see this misterious mountain a little while in the morning. Always never looking daunted, looks bigger than life!

久しぶりの更新となってしまった。そして先日、とうとうメルボルンへ帰ってきました。
夢のような４週間の日本旅行もあっという間に終わってしまいました。　考えてみれば合計８回も飛行機にのり、日本の北から南へ飛び回りかなりいい思い出が沢山できた旅行だった。少し遊びすぎた感が残るが、それなりに会えた友達とゆっくりと色々な話が出来て、本当に大満足。
あーこういう話が友達や家族とずっとしたかったんだ。　色んな事を実感した
でも今回の一番の収穫は、家族５人と久しぶり集まり、温泉を兼ねてゆっくり話が出来た事。
みんな色々あってそれぞれに忙しい日々を送っているが、こうやって元気に今でも集まって家族でワイワイできるのはとても恵まれていると思う。
私のパートナーは最愛の家族をすでに二人もなくしているからだ。

I have been lazy to update this blog for few weeks... and yes. here I am in Melbourne.
Trip in Japan was great, but it was so quickly finished. after all, I took air plain 8 times in total, from north of japan to south, had a wonderful onsen and great food, wonderful memories!!made me a bit guilty afterwords, but I strongly realised that how much I have been missing to be back in Japan and have a chat about ordinarily stories to my friends and families. I achieved everything in this trip. I am very satisfied!! yeah..
The best part of this trip was I could spend few days with my family in the mountain with nice onsen, we had a great family discussion and conversation.
Very important things to do and I actually felt that I am very lucky because my family members are all healthy and we can still get together like this.
My partner lost 2 family member already. He only have his father left.

The National Art center of Tokyo

Hitoshi Nomura-PERCEPTIONS―CHANGES IN TIME AND FIELD.It was amazing exhibition!! He introduced new vision of earth phenomena, moon, sky, space and DNA. He discovered that the courses followed by the sun or moon create beautiful shapes of MUGEN (shapes of eight, like this picture) and was attracted by the wonder of the fact that the light that reaches us from the Milky Way actually dates back to a time when plants that are now fossils, were still alive. He was data mania and he took photography of moon every day and made moon score out of moon's movement then convert to very interesting music. He uses photography, video, and sound to proof his research. very effective.

nostalgia

日本での時間は飛ぶようにすぎていく。東京滞在の1週間もあっという間に終わってしまって現在はふるさとの大分滞在中。でもこちらについてから3日間大雨洪水警報がでっぱなしなほどの雨。すでに地すべりなどの被害もではじめていて大変な被害も出てきている。オーストラリアでは見られないこの大量な雨に少し大興奮気味。でもオーストラリア感覚で外に出るとすぶ濡れになる。懐かしい感覚だ。

東京では会いたかった友達に燻製レストランや居酒屋に連れて行ってもらったり、猪や鹿の肉を食べさせてもらったり、ホームパーティーに行ったりなんとも良い思いばかりさせてもらった。やっぱり東京は大好きな街である。日本に来て本当良かった

Time fles in Tokyo. I am here in my sweet home ooita now, it has been raining very hard and it might cause land slide problem soon, Its seriously raining. I haven't experience this much rain in OZ land. Pretty amazing.. but still very nice to be back home and hung out with my family.

In tokyo, my sincerly friends took me to smoke-food restaurant, some other friend cooked me amazing wild life red meat, other friend organised a great home party with yummy food and sake and I finally meet cocoon tower in shinjuku. I love tokyo so much!! I have been very lucky to be back in Tokyo.

time management

東京はすでに真夏のような暑い日が続いている。 ついついお酒が増えてしまう毎日だか　日本について早くも１０日間かなり楽しく過ごしている。いつも会いたいと思い続けてきた友達にいつでも会えたり日本語でメールできるのが　一番幸せだ。　
東京のペースはやはり速い。。すべてが時間でコントロールされている。かぎられた時間をしっかりオーガナイズする事がこの町で生きていく一番大切な事である。 写真は定番の小樽の風景、ふるい倉庫の写真

It has been 10 days since I came back to Japan. The best thing is I can catch up with my friends that I've been missing so long. I can text them in Japanese too.
I have been feeling that I am a bit slower than Tokyo people. Everything is about saving time. Time management is the most important skill to live comfortably in japan.

とても大切な友達と一緒に旅ができた。チヨちゃんはファッションデザイナーで今回の結婚式のウエディングドレスをつくった。麻とシルクとレースで作られたシンプルな彼女色のとてもきれいなドレス。結婚式場にいた人すべての方の一生の思いでに残るすばらしい贈り物だった。シゲは私の知る一番すてきなカメラマンであり仏像修復というすばらしい仕事をしている。かれの会社で修復された仏像を小樽でみてきたがすばらしかった。リスペクト！

I travel with my very important friends. Chiyo is fashion designer. she made an amazing wedding dress, made out of hemp and silk, very simple design but it was stunning! Shigetoshi is the best photographer I have ever met and he also has very special craftsmen work. Great to see them again and I was very very inspired by them. Amazing creativity. Respect!!

Cotton snow

北海道に生まれて初めて行った。一言で言うとどこか懐かしい。でも知らない植物や動物、キタキツネとの遭遇などやはりこの島ならではの文化がある。

この写真は雪ではなく　木から降ってきた種、まるで真綿のようなふわふわとした種が地面いっぱいに積もっていた。名前はわからなかったがすばらしい風景だった。

I went to Hokkaido first time ever. Description of Hokkaido.. well, I felt very familiar and nostalgic of cause.. but after meeting with many plants and animals that I never met, I started understand the island culture.

Pictures above are tree seeds with fluffy cotton, I didn't see snow but saw cotton seeds snowing in Sapporo's park! it was beautiful.

明日1年半ぶりに帰国します。今回の旅で一番楽しみにしてるのが西新宿の新しい東京モード学院。私の一番尊敬する日本の建築士丹下健三氏が亡くなった後、彼の息子さんによる初の高層ビルプロジェクト。こんなビルが西新宿にあるなんて！まだ想像できないので本当に楽しみだ。何度見てもため息のでる大好きな代々木国立競技場も見に行こう。 その他にもいくつか見たいビルが沢山ある。東京♪
Yes! I am leaving melbourne tomorrow morning. and I am so excited to see new Tokyo Mode gakuin!! It's 204-metre, 50-story educational facility(fashion, hair design, etc) located in the Nishi Shinjuku, designed by my favorite and most respectable architect Mr. Tange's son. White aluminum and dark blue glass exterior form the structure's curved shell, which is criss-crossed by a web of white diagonal lines earning it the name "Cocoon Tower".　I must go back to see Yoyogi gymnasium too! this is one of my favorite buildings in Tokyo. there are thousasnds of amazing architecture in tokyo! Can't wait to see them again.

Koto's one day

もうすぐ久しぶりの日本だ。琴、マンキーと彼と1ヶ月も離れてしまうので少し寂しい。
琴はモリーと週に2−3日一緒に過ごすようになっているので心配はないだろうが、私が琴の事ばかり考えてしまうのではと少し心配。
日本からも琴の一日の顔が見れるように写真をここに載せておこう！

USC Trojan Marching Band + Radiohead @ 2009 Grammys

10年以上前にRadioheadに出会ってから今でも彼らが　私にとって一番尊敬すべきミュージシャンである。昨晩Radiohead好きの友人と一緒にThomのビデオをワインを飲みながら沢山みた。以下はTrojanマーチングバンドとトムがGrammy showでの共演ビデオ。舞台裏練習風景がみれてすごくいい。
この１５Stepのリズム、難しい！マーチングバンドメンバーはグラミーでトムと共演できるなんて本当にラッキー。その下のビデオはメンバーの頭にカメラを取り付けて撮影されている。ヘルメットにちょっと笑ってしまうが、このカメラアングル、メンバーの動きや細かい表情が映し出される。彼らのアイディアはいつも新しく全く想像ができないがすべてThomらしく、アーティステックに仕上がる。本当にかっこいいです
Radio head has been my favorite musician for over 10 years, I believe they will by my favorite artist for lest of my life.

how to recycle construction waste

学生の頃、老人ホームのデザインの課題でリサイクル木材を使ってデザインをした。
込入ったデザインだったが、リサイクル木材の温かさが柔らかく仕上げてくれて隣に並べられた水槽とマッチして良いデザインに仕上がった。
etsyのショップでそっくりな木材とデザインをつかったパネルを見つけた。こちらは少し忙しいデザインになってるが、リサイクル材は個性があって温かさがあって、本当に好きだ。

There was nursing home design assinment when I was student and I used recycled drift wood for wall panel next to big fish tanks. It was a bit complicated structured panel, but wooden warmth soften up the entire area and it turend to nicely matched with fish tank. I found very similar designed wooden panel from etsy shop, its a bit busy.. but i always loves warmth of old hard wood.

今週笑顔でいる事さえ難しい一週間だった。

在宅での仕事はやはり私には向いてないらしい

いつでも夢と希望と野心に溢れた生活がしたい。

そんな中この笑顔の卵が私に元気を取り戻してくれた。

ペンで書いたんじゃありません！手に取った卵にこんな可愛い笑顔が。

それにこのMollyのあどけない表情と優しい笑顔に救われた

一週間だった。

It has been difficult week to smile for me.

Working from home is not really healthy to me. I love being busy and life with full of ambition, hope and dreams.

negative feelings grow so quickly.

But this smily egg that I found from egg container saved me!

what a gift ! Although these Molly's soft and purely friendly expression saved my week!

stairs to nowhere

以前のメルボルンレーンウェイアートフェスティバルのオブジェクト。どこへ続いていな真っ白な階段はシティのナイアガラレーンに今もある。建築現場で古いビルの解体を見ていると突然現れる、どこへも続いていない、古い階段やドア。昔のビルの姿が見えて来て、なぜか懐かしい物を見つけたような気分になる。建築現場での仕事が懐かしくなってきた。
Stairs to nowhere in Niagara lane in the city. It was a part of lane way art festival, I am not sure who was the artist for this object, but I really like the idea of brand new staircase running into nowhere to exit.
I have been enjoying finding the old doors and old stairs running into a newly plastered wall. It's funny feeling but I have been missing working at construction site.
