We miss you..

マンキーちゃんが虹の橋を渡って丸1年経ちました。琴はマンキーが居なくなってから近所に住む多くの猫に対してかなり吠えるようになってしまいましたが、琴は私達と同様にマンキーが本当に大好きでした。早過ぎる別れだったのですがこれからも心の中でずっと一緒です。マンキーちゃん。

It has been already one year since Monkey left us, sleeping in peace in the other side of rainbow bridge.   Koto started bark very hard to neighboughours cats since she has gone, but Koto used to love Monkey so much as we were.  We will remember you forever miss Monkey the cutest cat.

Sad morning without sweetie

6月9日5:30pm,マンキーちゃんが肺ガンの為、虹の橋を渡りました。私達と暮らし始めて４年,まだ８歳でした。

先週の行方不明事件は近所の猫とのテリトリー争いが原因で帰ってこなかったのではなく肺に水が溜まり呼吸困難の為 家へ戻る階段さえも登ってこられなかったか、もしくは一人で静かな時間を過ごしたかったのだとやっと解りました。４月にビッコを引き出したと同時に進行した衰弱食欲不良だったので、足の原因ばかり突き止めてきましたが　この頃からずっと苦しかったのだと思います。血液検査や体内の検査ももちろんしたのですが肺の急激な異変はこの1ヶ月の事だったようです。

遺体は家に連れて帰って琴と一緒にお別れをした後、いつもマンキーが過ごしていた庭に埋めました。 

琴は動かないマンキーに寄り添って匂いをかぎ、キュンキュンいいながら一生懸命起こそうとしましたが、泣いている私たちを見て、何か理解した様に、そっと私達のそばに付いて一緒に見守ってくれました。とにかく　小さな身体で本当にここまでよく頑張ったね。　優しくておっとりで甘えん坊さんで、本当に可愛くて可愛くていつもいとおしいかった。 今まで本当にありがとう。

9th June, 2010, Monkey passed away suffered from a Lung Cancer.  She was only 8 years old,  lived with us for 4 years.  We assuming that she had long struggle with breathing problem for over a month. When she was gone missing for 5 days last week, she wanted to be either alone in peace or couldn't come upstairs from pain.  We did blood, nutrition, kidney and liver testing but couldn't find lung fail last month because of she started limping hind leg at the same time so we all considered its coming from her joint pain. We finally realized that she was having a hard time to breath for 2 month.  Her tiny lung was filled in water.  Poor little monkey.. you did extremely well and had the greatest patient with all those pain.   We took Monkey's body home last night 3 of us said good-bye together.  Surely I felt that we were strongly bonded family and little Monkey teach me so many important things in life.   Koto understood Monkey was not moving and we were very sad about it, then she sit next to us calmly.

Monkey chan, You were the sweetest, cutest, funniest and the most loveliest cat I have ever seen and we love you very much.  Thank you for being our sweetie and gave us a joyful time.

Also thank you for our friends, who gave her a pad with love and looked after her when we were away. 

Monkey is in recovery

今日は日記となりますが、先週マンキーが４日間行方不明になり、市役所やマイクロチップの管理所に電話をかけたりシェルターに行ってみて確認したり、数々の病院を訪ねたり本当に心配で眠れない日が続いていました。でも！先日衰弱からの危篤状態でしたが、小さな穴に入って隠れていた所を琴とパートナーが散歩中に発見しました。ヒップのせいで随分弱り切った状態が続いて居たうえに、近所に新しく越して来た猫に脅されたようで、出て来れなくなった様子。衰弱激痩せで全く体力のない状態ですが注射器で柔らかいフードを強制的に食べさせたら、今日は少し気分が良いみたいで動き出しました。本当に猫って環境の変化に敏感ですね。個体差があるのかもですが、マンキーがこんなに感受性の強い子だと思っていませんでした。もちろん体調の変化や痛みも関係していますが、これから家から出さないようにします。とにかくまだ油断のできない危篤状態ですが帰って来てくれて本当に良かった♪絶対よくなろうね

koto & Monkey's tension

バスルームの窓から出入りするマンキー。リビングルームや他の部屋ではリラックスできる二匹ですがバスルームでは未だにテンションがあります。そしてパピーの頃からどうしてもマンキーがジャンプして窓から家を出て行く瞬間、足をバタバタ、そわそわしながら大興奮してしまう琴。　パピー時代に興奮しすぎて猫パンチを頂いた経験からマンキーが大好きなのに怖くて近づけないし、興奮すると私達に怒られるのでなんとなくバスタオルの後ろに隠れながらマンキーを観察中。丸見えなんですけど。。

She knows that she shouldn't gets excited when Monkey jumps up, so she is trying to hide behind the bath towel.  yeah right koto.. I know you are there watching monkey..

マンキーの検査結果は骨盤と股関節のジョイント部分が完全にすり減ってしまい、動くと酷い痛みが発生している状態だそうです。食欲が落ちたのは突然の身体の変化と外出禁止の環境変化からのストレスからと推定。これから長い治療となりますが、まずは液体の痛み止めを1週間飲ませて食欲と体力を回復させる事から初めています。一方、kotoも　ほぼ回復してます！傷口は閉じたけど縫った糸が完全に解けてなく、歯ぐきから青い糸が垂れ下がっている状態なので今週も柔らかい食べ物、オモチャやひっぱりっこはもう少し我慢です。ストレスを貯めない為、10分のアジリティのファウンデーショントレーニングを1日3回、1時間の散歩と３０分の自転車でのランニングエクササイズを欠かさず頑張ってます。

Let's make it 凹 to 凸

マンキーが入院しました。ビッこをひきだして２週間、先週病院に行ったが骨折、捻挫などの外傷は見られなかったので様子を見ましょうという結果でした。その後極度に食欲と体重が落ち水も飲まない日が続いたので再検査へ。内蔵の異常という疑いもあり、色々な検査をしても血液検査は８歳の猫にしては健康そのもの。やはり想像していた骨盤損傷の可能性が高くなって来ました。今晩は麻酔をしてレントゲン、更に検査を続けてもらっています。

先日は琴と散歩中、タイガースネークというオーストラリア人でも一生に一度見かけるかどうかというような珍しい猛毒を持つ蛇が立ち上がってこっちを狙っているのを1メートル以内で見かけ、すみやかに静かに猛ダッシュ！！で逃げました。あの蛇に琴が噛まれたら5分以内、私達でも１５分以内に死亡する程の猛毒蛇だと後で聞いて鳥肌が立ちました。この話はマンキーとは関係ないのですが、偶然と思えない程の不運続き、本当に凹みます。でも私が今一番前向きな姿勢でサポートしてあげなければ！マンキー頑張れ ！

Believe it or not.. Monkey is in a hospital tonight. oh.. she did blood test and result was pretty good for 8 years old senior cat, but she has been refusing to eat and drink, lost so much weight since her hind leg injury.  She will take x-ray and we will continue to exam what is really wrong with her.  

Bad luck continues.. the other day, when we were walking with Koto, I saw tiger sneak standing up, ready for attack within 1m! which is the 2nd strong poisonous sneak in Oz and if they attack us, within in 5min to death to dog, even human will die in 15-20min.  I was terrified when I hear about this story.  but I will look up on bright side and support everything we can do!  Hang in there Monkey!!

Sleeping Beauty

いつも寝てばかりのマンキーちゃん。実はこの寝顔で以前モデルをした事がある。このポストカードはグラフィックデザイナー／アーティストの元のオーナーさんがマンキーをHealth Projectのモデルとして使った際のもの。マンキーは日中ずっと外にいて夜の７時頃にお腹を空かせてやっと帰ってくる。マンキーに会いたい時はこのカードを眺めていると自然と笑顔になってリラックスできます。
My sleeping beauty monkey did modeling before! Her ex-owner was graphic designer/Artist and she did used monkey's picture for health project.
Monkey spend most of the day out side, She only come home around 7pm when she needs dinner but I can look at this postcard when I miss her. It makes me smile and relaxed.

Monkey's secret

マンキーは日中殆ど外で過ごす。この裏道を毎日通る。
Monkey spend most of the day at outside. She walks this ally-way every morning.

彼女には　家に来てから3年間使っている秘密の通り道（近道）があり毎日この小さな穴を通って彼女のチルスペースへ。でも最近近所の若い子達がここでパーティをしたお陰で秘密の抜け道が　黄色に塗られて目立っている。もう秘密の近道ではなく、目立ってしょうがない通り道になってしまっている。。
She walk throw this secret hole(short cut hole) to get to empty land of her "chill-out spot" behind the church.
But some young kids had a big ally-way party, they painted her secret walk way to yellow..
Her secret hole has became "Highly visible" hole...poor monkey

Monkey the scarly cat

マンキーが帰ってこなかった。彼女がいつも日中過ごす空き地の前でパーティがあり、若い子達が酔っぱらって大音量で音楽を掛けていたから怖くて出て来れなかった様。やっと昨日の夜ご飯を食べれて今は幸せそうにごろごろ言ってる。
Monkey didn't come home last night.
There was a party where Monkey usually hung out during the day, I think she couldnt't come out. there were too many people hunging out and drunk. She is shy and scarly cat. We went to pick her up in this morning and she seems very happy to finally got her dinner and breakfast!
