2019 journey start with Kai

2018 - I needed to have rest from online. As I was working everything by online, and taking online education courses,  online conversation with family. and fall asleep while looking at instagram, waking up with looking though Facebook...
it's just new generation, how it is in year 2000..  but It was nice to be away to not spend extra time writing online blog. 

Biggest event happened in 2018 was Niah's shoulder injury, and he spend about 4month wearing hobble. It was the most miserable year for him. He lost every muscle, enthusiasm, and started worried about environment ever than before, and he was very unstable, un predictable.   It was very sad and frustrating year.

But Great things also happened at the same time.
High light was going back to Japan, I had a great time with my family and catch up with beloved dear friends! Also we travel to Europe, did amazing hiking in Italian mountain, then went to Sweden to see Agility World Championship again :) 
And again, we host Zeljko Gora seminar in Australi, travel together to New Zealand was fabulous. I will write again when I am motivated to write a report of these wonderful experiences.

And 2019 - Here we come!
Brand new year started with full of hope and enthusiasm. 

First of all, Meet our dream puppy Kai.
We started a new year by driving 6000km along the coast to pick up a puppy from QLD. well, it took so long but Mr. Whitey (puppy name) is now called "Kai" (it means Ocean in Japanese)
The name "Kai" suits our life style. Dean used to surf and we love swimming, running in the ocean with our dogs. Kai has gorgeous temperament and he is very intelligent puppy with a unique-mostly white marking and very dark face – which is perfect to spend time in Australian summers and beaches - No sunburn and body stays cool!
Kennel name : RURedyfor Kai. 
He daddy is Kinloch Aaron, Mummy is Kinloch Genie.
I will start writing my blog again for our training record :)

Happy Birthday Koto!

4 years ago, Koto was born in Colac farm with another 6 siblings.

She had a name called Seamist Kiera, But I changed to Koto late on. 

She was separate from her working BC mother when she was only 4 weeks old. 

Its sad that it is really happening to working dog environment. 

Then she was adopted to us, who used to lives in the central of Melbourne city,

who used to work 8 hours a day.

She must had a hard puppy life with us.

But we learn quickly how to live with you and we both learn from each other. 

Thank you Koto to create strong bond to us and taught us important 100 things!

4年前の今日、コーラックの農場で6匹の兄妹と共に産まれた琴。

名前はキアラと命名されていたのを私が変名しました。

今思うと本当に可哀想な事ですが

産後たった4週間で仕事に戻った母犬と離ればなれにさせられ

その後 全くボーダーコリーの事を知らなかった私達と

車だらけの街の中で暮らし始めた琴ちゃん。

お互いに大変なスタートだったけど　立派な大人になったね。

He suddenly became a teenager boy, when we came back home. many new behavior, and stills tons of things to teach him. But for now, he graduate puppy class(3rd puppy school graduation!well done Niah)

帰宅すると突然大きくなっていたニア、もうパピーでは無く立派な青年となっていましたよ

お陰で新しい問題行動、教えなくてはいけない事が山積みです。

Sunday was Niah's 4th Herding lesson.  Oh- He is very calm/gentle and excellent in movement.  we still work on stop/steady in command, but going right (over) and left(back) are getting very well!  He is observing our commands and sheep movement very well!  Naturally born to herd! (gently ;)

Koto.. She was good in the small pan, but she lost control in the big pan!  Koto the Hurricane is back! so then I can not take her pictures well...(too fast miss!) 

日曜にニアの4回目のハーディングレッスンに行ってきました。ニア、どんどん良くなってます！いい体勢、距離、動きの早さも凄くいいし、しっかり私達のコマンドと羊の動きをしっかりみてる。9ヶ月なのに生まれながらの天性って凄いなぁ〜　まだ幼さがあるけどカッコよくなってきたなぁ。私はこれからニアのハンドリングをするので今日はニアと一緒にレッスンしてきましたが、ニアとはかなり楽しかったです（琴は難しい。。）琴は小さいパンでのレッスンは良かったのですが、大きい方に行ったら完全にロスとコントロール。。ハリケーン化したので中断しました（笑）動きが本当に早くていつものように写真全然撮れないし。。これも天性！いいコンビの姉弟です

学校が忙しくてなかなか更新ができていないこのごろですが。。
先週の土曜はニアのオビレベル3のテストがありました！

ニアはアジが出来ればいいと思っていたのだけどパピースクールから通っている　オビの学校では本当に集中力がいいし、なんといっても素晴らしい社会科環境の整った学校でレッスンもテストも全てオフリードなので毎週土曜は欠かさず通っています。前回のテストは最小年齢で最高スコア（99点）で合格したので今回も行けるかも！と期待していたのですが、、落ちました〜。

いちばん教えるのに苦労したリトリーブ（10メートル先にオブジェクトを投げる、犬が取りに行く、戻ってくる、私の前でオブジェクトを口にくわえて座る 、それからギブの合図でオブジェクトをリリース。。）という簡単なようでかなり沢山のシークエンスの入ったこのゲーム。　でもこれは毎日タグトーイで沢山練習したので見事にきっちりできました！

 ヒールは言う事なし！ただ少しテストが長過ぎて今でもかなりのハイレートでオヤツをあげているので、なんだか詰まらない思いをさせてしまったようで嫌なテストでした。

（オヤツはテスト中一切あげてはいけません！）

それから苦手なシット、ドロップ、スタンドステイ→10歩離れる、そこからぐるっと一周犬の周りを廻る。。

この30−40秒かかるステイ、スタンドから一歩も動いてはいけません。

ニアはこれが一番苦手だったけど、テストでは練習したかいがあり、完璧に出来ました。

でも　いつも必ず出来ていたので練習しなかったシットステイで　一度立ち上がって、お腹をぽりぽりかいてしまい、そのままどぼん。。

厳しい。。というか　痒かっただけだし、かいたくらい良いじゃないですか？？と抗議したくなりましたが、、これがオビと思うと、やっぱり面白くないなぁと改めて実感！　苦痛になったら直ぐに辞めます〜

というのは月曜からアジのレッスンも始まりました♪　楽しかった！

Taking puppy to the city center, train station, and pet shop was one of the homework so I took him to the city and pet shop last weekend. 

He was really great at both busy environment!  I am sure he is an impressive puppy!

最近7ヶ月になったニアくん、始めのビデオはスタートステイのハンドシグナルとゴーの合図の練習風景。

その下は オンラインでと受けているシルビアタークマンのパピークラス の課題ビデオです。中心街、駅、ペットショップへ連れて行くという課題があったのですが、これだけ人やトラム、車がいてもニア君全く平気でした！

これからもっと日頃から練習します！

Breederの元へ残ったニアの妹のCaitちゃん。ブリーダーにはPigと呼ばれてた程噛み付いたものは離さない一番強力な女の子でした。。

右は新しいスタッド犬のボンド。この二匹の子供も面白い子が産まれそう。

she had a pretty strong character in this litter and she didn't never let tug toy go once she got it!

On the right is new stud dog called Bond. These 2 sure will make interesting/strong working dog! I've never seen chocolate x tri-merle cross puppy...Looking forward to see what's the future puppy will look like.

シルビアのトリッククラスのレッスンを始めてからニアは箱が大好きになりました

始めに箱に慣れてもらう為に練習したバスケットを見たらまず足を入れてみて、なにもおこらなかったらバスケットで寝る。。（猫みたい）日課になっています！プレートを見たらこのとおり、見てみてー2本足で立てるよ！自慢げです。可愛い♪

Since we started Silvia Trkman’s Trick class, Niah is in LOVE with boxes and this basket! He started sleeping in a basket these days, looks like a cat!  Also as soon as he saw plate, jump on to it and show me 

"LOOK! I put my 2 paws!!"  pretty funny tho!

2月22日より大好きなドッグトレーナーSilvia Trkmanのトリッククラスを彼女のブログを通して受けています！2週間に1回課題が出るので、その課題をトレーニングしている様子をビデオに取り、YouTubeにのせ、それをブログで一緒にクラスを受けている人達とシェアします！シルビアから私のトレーニングについてコメントも貰えます。素晴らしいアイディア♪でかなり勉強になっています

2／22　第一回目の課題です

1）リコール

2）フードリフューズ／食べ物の拒否（リーブコマンドの教え始めと同様）

3）プレートに前足2本を乗せる

4）箱に足4本を居れる、入ったら箱をどんどん小さくしていく。

5）カエル足（自然に後ろ足をストレッチした状態を見たらマーク、名前をつけてトリックにする）

結婚式の準備と、学校の課題、このトリッククラスとアジリティとオビ。。やる事が多い今日この頃 でも充実しているので楽しい〜♪

 I am taking Silvia Trkman's Long distance Puppy-trick class through her blog.  I really love her and she inspired me so much about how to face to training dog.  We will get a 'to do' list every 2 weeks and submit a 5min of us training the activities.  Pretty clever and I am loving all those blog-base study lately!!  

Our fist to do list was 1) Recall x10 times a day 2)Food refusal 3) Front paws on plate 4) 4 paws in the box- then reduce box size later 5) Frog! as stretching out hind leg (capturing natural behavior)   Oh- gosh, I am so busy.. but in the excellent way! I am loving this class so much!

Koto 3yo and Niah 5mo

My dearest Koto is nearly 3 years old and her stalker Niah is nearly 5 month old!

Koto is settling down a lot since we've got Niah but on the other hand, she is very reactive and sensitive for small things.   I always feel that she is still trying to adjust her self to our life, she is an emotional girl.  I really love her clear emotion.  Very difficult dog but she is absolutely beautiful. 

Niah is opposite in personality. He is optimistic, does not care about noise, dogs, cats, just a bit scared of trucks and trams but wants to please us all the time. Niah’s long legs and tail are amazing!  His BC crouching position is getting lower and lower every month!  He loves attack Koto or any dogs from behind; always goes flat like a pancake (hiding) then suddenly attack!

They are getting along extremely well.  Great personality match and we are very proud of our choice. 

But not at the park! He has been annoying Koto too much so me and my pertner have been going to the park separately with one dog.  Morning together, night time separate.  This is becoming our routine.

It's a bit of work and time consuming but we can actually train them well!  

大好きな琴もそろそろ3歳。そして琴のストーカーニア君もそろそろ5ヶ月です。

琴は随分柔らかくなりましたが、まだ小さな事に敏感に過剰反応します。そんな姿を見てなぜか、未だに私達の生活にとけ込もうと努力してくれてるんだなぁと感じます。やっぱり牧場でのんびり暮らしてるのが一番合う子なんだろうなぁと。。とにかく感情的な子です。でも琴の感情的な所がまた大好きなのです。本当に難しい犬ですがこの子の優しさや温かさ、やる気の大きさは飼い主の私じゃないと見た目だけでは解らないのが残念。

それに比べてニアは正反対、楽観的で小さな事は一切気にしない、ノイズも犬も猫もみんな平気（巨大トラックやトラムは苦手ですが）そしていつでも私達を喜ばせようと必死！

ボーダーのクラウチング体勢もどんどん腰が低くなって来て　狙いを低い体勢で仕留めてアタック！これが公園での日課となってきてます。琴が的となりいつも噛み付いて行くので琴のイライラ度も頂点に達するので朝は一緒ですが夜は2匹別々に公園へ行きます。　時間も労力もかかりますが別々だと随分いいトレーニングが出来る様になりましたよ

last weekend

先週末の写真です。
3月に結婚する事になったのですが、結婚式場となるディルスフォードという街までメルボルンから1時間15分かかります。でも最近は準備の為月に2−3回のペースで出かけています。準備で凄く忙しいですが、同時に凄く楽しみです♪　写真は式場になるタスマハウスの楽器のコレクションです。オーナーさんがミュージシャンで、楽器を手作りで作られているそう！

We went to Daylesford again to organise our wedding party. Yes, I am getting married in March this year! so I am pretty busy for organising our hand-made party in Daylesford.
Pictures are from Tasma House where we are having a part and these instruments are made by musician owner of Tasma house. He is making them on his own! very impressive!
oh- we have so many things to do before our wedding party but at the same time,  it is very exciting!

とにかく友達がディルスフォードに住んでいて犬達の面倒みてくれるし沢山情報収集が出来て本当に助かっています。琴ニアもいつも本当に楽しんでるみたい！ニアはいつの間に　ボストンテリアのジュウ君よりぐーんと大きくなっていました. 最後の写真はトランポリンの上で口論中の琴ニア。ニアがいつもの様にはしゃぎ過ぎて琴に注意されてます（笑）
It has been great to have friends who loves dog in Daylesford, our friends are looking after Koto and Niah when we are running around the place to place. 
They also had a great time, running / playing / swimming with great friend Jyu the boston terrier in their back yard.  Niah loves trampoline so much and he is always on top of the trampoline and showing little bounce to us!  He is already bigger than Jyu! the last picture is koto telling him off, because he has being naughty here!
