Spring weekend

Here in Melbourne had perfect spring weather weekend!
Precious warm sunshine.. Finally coming out of our long long winter.

And finally started Agility trial season on Saturday, and we were at Hasting trial to compete Masters jumping and Agility.
Oh gosh! We MUST practice contact!! Niah jumped off from See-Saw,
And Dog Walk was a bit slow. (luckily he didn't miss the contact, but I have no confident in Running contact exit)

The Jumping course was nice. we've got 2nd place! 
But I didn't like Agility courses that much.
Just not much handling challenge, only challenge was strange angles and obstacle discrimination, which we fail badly- All of our faults were from obstacle discrimination and see saw. Anyways- Good to know what to work on for this season.
メルボルンの先週末は本当に暖かかった！長かった冬のお陰でモヤシ状態なので
お日様にあたれる週末は本当にしあわせ。
おまけにいいタイミングでアジのトライアルシーズンがスタートをきったので
土曜は久しぶりのアジリティ！楽しかった

マスタージャンピングは、なかなか楽しいコースで、
凄く良く走れて2席まで貰えましたが、
アジリティ、、、なんとニアくんシーソーすっ飛びました。
あんな飛び方したニアを見たのは初めてだったのでちょっと笑ってしまいました！
それにやっぱりドッグウォークもぜんぜん練習してなかったので微妙。
コンタクトはミスはしなかったけど、スピードがでない。
やっぱり　ビビリ症ニアくん　コンタクトは常に練習しないとだめなのね。
でも練習課題がでたらヤル気もでます。　今シーズンはタイトル獲得目指して頑張らなきゃ！

 


On Sunday -  We did BIG bike riding :) it was such a beautiful warm day and dogs run about 15km! Just trotting - time to get back in fitness!
Our house located on absolutely beautiful area that connect to my favorite Museum in Melbourne, Heide.
We are very lucky that we can just ride bike to there!
そして日曜は近所を自転車でサイクリング。
犬達はたぶん15キロは走ったかな！　アジシーズン到来にむけて体力作りもしっかりしないとね。それにしてもうちの近所は本当に自然が多くて素敵な散歩コースが沢山。
大好きなハイディ近代美術館まで自転車でいけます。ラッキーですね

Can't wait for another handling class!

I can't wait for spring!! 
We are going to start handling class with Zeljko soon, Backyard is finally drying and weather is better and better everyday! 

Do you know what that is?

We just harvest our very first home grown horse laddish!
Very exciting! I'm going to make delicious horse laddish sour cream source!
It matches so well with roast dishes. We made this source few years ago's Christmas dinner, and everyone loved it! But its not easy to find fresh horse laddish, so Dean grow them!  Very happy to have them in our garden:) 

1年かけて育てた西洋わさび、収穫しましたよー！
一昨年のクリスマスローストポークを家族に作ったとき
西洋わさびソースを作ったら本当に美味しくてそれから病み付き！
生のわさびは手に入らないので、これが私の生わさびの代理！
お肉と相性ぴったりです
優しいわさびソースとでも言いましょうか、とくにサワークリームやレモンと凄く相性がいいし、醤油につけてそのままご飯にかけても本当に美味しいんです。
代理といってもこれくらいの大きさだとたぶん15−20ドルくらいするのではないでしょうか！結構高いんですよ

Walmar State Forest walk -Pipe line track, easy 1.5hr walk-

I woke up with sneezing!!
It means "Spring has arrived!" :) 
This week, we were bush walking near Castlemaine at Small state forest called Walmer State Forest, and we walked along Pipeline walking track.
It was pretty easy walk and again, very dog friendly! This loop took us only about 2 hours, Very well paved tracks and just small up and down hills between the young tree forest.  
Not hard at all!!  When we were walking, We could tell there are many wild animals around, The track was very easy to walk and we didn't see anybody - only the noise we could hear was wild birds. Very Beautiful sound :)

As I imagined, We finally saw Dark gray kangaroo near the load, and he notice Koto and Niah - THEN RUN away!! Koto and Niah notice that and were VERY EXCITED and started to chase them!
but guess what!?
WE RECALL BACK THEM FROM Hopping running off KANGAROO!!
omg! it was brilliant and very very happy moment! 
If you have ever read this blog's old old post, you might know that I struggle with Koto's extremely high-chasing behavior. 
We spend years and years of tears and sweat, trying to stop Koto to chase the bike and cars.  It was happiest moment for such a long time!

We never had a chance to proof how reliable is our recall against wild animals.
Normally they gets extremely excited with Kangaroo.

After the walk, We stopped by the little gold mining town called Maldon.
discovered little antique shops but no luck!

As my sneezing spring warning- yes, wattle trees were all bloom and it was covered in Dark Green and Yellow in the country.

土曜の朝、くしゃみとともに目が覚めました。春がやって来たみたい！
今週末の　私達は、Castlemaineの近くのワルマーステイトフォレストという名前の小さめなフォレストを犬達と一緒に散歩してきました。
Pipelineトラックという名前のトレイルを一周してきました。
思った通り、ワトルツリーが満開！どこをみても一面黄色。
このループはおよそ2時間、上り下りの激しい箇所もあったけど、とっても歩きやすきて
きれいに整備されたトラックでした。誰にも会う事もなく、車も通らず、聞こえるのは野鳥の美しい声だけ！この森はカンガルーが沢山いそうだなぁ〜なんて思った瞬間、
予感的中！やっぱり。。
コトとニアの存在に気づいたカンガルーがピョーンと凄い勢いで逃げ出しました。
そしてそれに気づいたコトニアは、、もの凄ーい勢いで追掛け始めた！！
その時！
大声で
コーーーートーーーー　ニィィィーーーーアーーーーー！！

都会で暮らすボーダーなので　野生動物みたら絶対追掛けてどっかいってしまうんだろうなぁとずっと思っていたのですが、以外や意外。。


二匹ともすっとんで帰ってきました！このブログの随分前の投稿を読んで頂いた方ならご存知かもしれませんが、琴が若い頃、ものすごーく強い”追掛け”癖がありまして、これを止めるのに2−3年程掛かったのです。　アジリティやシープハーディング、それから日々のレッスンのお陰で目に見えるほど進歩したのは解っていたのですが、野生動物、とくにカンガルーを車の中から見た時はものすごっく大興奮します。　
おかげで呼び戻しを試す機会もなかったし。

もちろんオヤツのJackPotをもりもりあげました！



ちょっと感動。


散歩の後、モールドンと言う名の　小さい金の鉱山の街を検索してかえりました。
小さな可愛い街でした！

Whipstick loop walk in Trentham -easy 2 hr walk-

We had a brilliant bush trial today. 
About 1 hour drive from Melbourne, we arrive to today's destination, Whipstick loop walk in Trentham.  The day started with driving after the separation between dark and bright cloud in the sky, Very interesting.. I've never seen cloud like this.. it sure made our drive to Trentham more interesting journey.

It was quite easy 2 hour return walk.  Scenery changed few times, between rain forest to Dry eucalyptus bush.  Very dog friendry trial and we didn't see any body walking. (Just first part only) We loved letting dogs to run free in this bush, easy hill walks, very easy and enjoyable busy.  Winter is the best time for bush trial (no snakes!)   Track was also nicely made and very easy walk!
We started walk from the track right next to the famous organic plant /nursery cafe called Diggers Cafe and as we imagined, it was very busy there! After the walk,  we had a coffee and cake for treat and it was delicious! Yes, we are definitely coming back for both trial and cake here! 

なぜ雲が二つに分かれていたのか、考えても良く解らなかったのですが、
今日の目的地までの1時間のドライブはこんな風景を眺めていたらあっという間に到着しました。トレンサムという街のちかくにあるWhipstick loop walkというトレイルを2時間散歩してきました。　琴とニアはずっとオフで自由に楽しそうに駆け回っていました。
トレイルはきれいに整備されていてとっても歩きやすく、ファームの生えるレインフォレストとカラカラに乾いたユーカリのフォレストに風景がなんどか移り変わって　とても面白かった。　犬との散歩にはピッタリの2時間でした。
帰りにオーガニックガーデンとカフェで有名なDiggersというカフェに因ったら
ケーキもコーヒーも凄くおいしかった！
とてもいいトレイルとカフェ発見、また戻ってこよう！

Backyard training -Happy Hurdle

Happy Hurdle Day. 
I could try two different course in one setting :) 
Unfortunately,  I needed to change the course slightly for my limited backyard space,  but that's OK! 
It's just us, playing on my backyard :) 

Wow, Niah was jumping much wider, and slower. 

We are back in Agility club training for couple of weeks, but haven't done much backyard training for awhile.
Looks like it going to take some time to connect, and get normal Niah's speed and movement back.
We also had a lot of bar down!  
Well, I think I will do few more Happy Hurdle, jumping exercise,  Then really really need to go back to Running Contact exit practice. (wish I had a agility filed with all contact set up all the time..) 
A lot of trial coming up in September to December!Always have endless training recipes.
Yes! Spring and agility season is coming soon ;) 

ハッピーハードルディ！
このコースは1つのセッティングで2つのコースが楽しめました。
やっぱりどうしても入りきれない所があり、多少コースを私なりに変えていますが
でも　うちで練習してるだけなんでオッケー！
ワォー！それにしてもニア君、ターンは広がるし、またちんたら走るし、、
クラブには3週間前から練習再開していますが、うちではまったく練習していなかったので
随分ひさしぶり！スピードとコネクション、細かい練習キャッチアップには時間がかかりそう。。 ジャンピングをあと何度か練習したら久しぶりにドッグウォーク設定してexitの練習しないとなぁ　（ドッグウォークを起きっぱなしに出来るフィールドが欲しいなぁ）　
いつまでたっても練習課題だらけなのはなぜかしら。。
春のアジリティトライアルラッシュは9月から始まります。ニアも良い年だし、体調も凄くいいので　今年は気合いを入れて頑張りまっす！
春はもうすぐ〜♪

Marysville Forest Trials - very easy and dog friendly

We went to short bushwalk trail with dogs last weekend.  
It was such a cold and cloudy- typical winter day, so probably bush walk was the most exciting thing to do for us.
Today's destination was the little town called Marysville.  
90% of the town was burned on 2009 Black Saturday.
Well, it has been 6 years since then and devastated town is back in normal busy little tourist area for cross country skiing, There was a big hotel/lecture center development has completed and town was looking new and vivid. 

So.. We thought it will be quite busy and freash bush walk, 
didn't expect this trail will be burned.. 
but it was! Most likely burned on purposely to prevent bush fire, 
so it was a bit disappointed by walking through burned forest.. 

Trail it self was very easy -  just about 1.5 hrs. Nicely marked, and easy to walk. 
Dogs off-lead no problem. 
but Not so exicitng landscape (even not burned) 

Koto and Niah found a huge Wombat hole on the ground - 
Looks like wombat was inside -  sleeping. Wombat is extremely strong,
they can kill dogs easily! so lets leave it alone and keep on moving :) 

先週末は久しぶりにブッシュウォークに行ってきました。
というのもどんより曇りで凄く寒い週末だったので　出かけるのに気合いが必要でした！
行き先はMarysvilleという小さな街、ここは09年のブラックサタデーで90％の街が焼けてしまった街、もうすっかり復活して大きなホテルやレクレーションセンターまで出来ています。この辺り、冬は雪がつもるので、クロスカントリーに来ている観光客でにぎわっていました。　 

そんな街なのでこのトレイルは新緑に包まれているだろうと期待していたのですが、、
山火事を防ぐためか、野焼きされた直後でトレイルの殆どが焼けているではないかぃ。がっかり。。

まぁそれでもオフリードの散歩は犬達にとって楽しいし、大きなウォンバットの巣も見つけて琴ニアは大興奮。。
実はウォンバット、あんなに可愛い顔をしているのに凄く強いんです。
犬なんて簡単に殺されてしまうので　ここはさっさとスルーしましょう〜

Grapefruits everyday!

August is the coldest month of the year in Melbourne. 
We had quite many days of morning frost -  and our backyard grass change to brown.
But luckily, not too wet and muddy this year! 
We have full of grape fruits on our tree :) 
And recently bought tunnel saddlebag carrier cart! 
Come spring come!!

メルボルンの8月は年間で一番寒い月です。
最近朝霜がふり、庭の芝生が一気にまっちゃいろに変わってしまいました。
でも今年はラッキーな事に　雨は少なく、毎年のように、どろどろな庭ではなく
未だにアジの練習ができています。
グレープフルーツも一杯とれたよ

excited about Renegade !

私の大好きなFiat がベースのJeep Renegadeが気になるこの頃!

プジョーは本当にいい車で大満足だけど、
4x4はやっぱり欲しい! だって本当に休みがくればキャンプに行くのが日課の私達、
4x4があると行動範囲が広がるし、何と言っても私達に合ってる。
幸いディーン父が4x4を持っているのでいつも借りられるのですが、
やっぱり犬がいるので　車を借りると毛や汚れが気になってしまうので
もう一台あるぼろぼろセダンをそろそろ処分して
Cityでも乗れる小さい燃費のいいSUV 車を探していました。

このクラスだと、新しいhonda HRV, Fiat Panda4x4 が気になっていたのですが、

Jeep いいタイミング!! 

燃費、サイズ、デザイン、維持費的にもとっても良いのではないでしょうか？

しかも小さめのSUV, 4x4 後ろがフラットになる。。

ず〜っと探していた車の条件にぴったりんこ。

犬が居るから新車は無理だけど　（直ぐに汚れるし毛がとれなくなっちゃう。。）
新中古車くらいで将来買えたらいいな♥️

Back to 2on 2 off training with Dog food!

7週間ごとに、自動設定でネットショップから送られて来るドッグフードなんですが、
この箱が2on2offのトレーニングにピッタリサイズ！なので
すっかりやらなくなった2o2oの練習をこれから毎回ドッグフードが来る度に
練習する事にしました！一石2鳥（笑）

というのも、コンタクトはランニング、それにオーストラリアのシーソーが規定が4年前から変わりあんな情けなくちっちゃいWee Sawになってしまったので2o2oは殆ど使わなかったのです。。　もちろんコンタクトで、極度なカーブな時はたま〜に使っていますが。。

実は来年からルールがまた変わり、シーソーの高さが15センチだけ（泣）上がる事になりまして、、
今までの35センチが50センチになるそうです。でもまだ粘りにねばって正規の世界標準の高さには戻さないそうで
そこも突っ込みたい所ですが、少しはマシになる！という事で
練習始めました。 ：）
でも　やっぱりずっと練習してなかったから、2匹とも微妙。。。

Every 7 weeks, I receive auto-delively Dog food from Internet shop.. and it suppose to last for 7 -8 weeks. so its quite big 20kg package! 
I realised that this box is actually perfect size for 2on 2off practice!
Well, We haven't really done much 2o2o since the see saw height changed to very low- wee saw! its almost no-need to stop dog there. 
Also I don't use stop contact much anymore.. so here we are! 
Good  equipment for contact training :) 
and wow! no~ their 2o2o was a bit... not reliable!  
Time for re-training..

EO is finished with bitter ending of not able to watch individual final by streaming..
Yes, stream didn't work!!! It was really disappointing...

Anyways, I've  finally watched all final runs by recorded video and so happy to found that Japanese woman had the very best time int the whole final.
Chouchou the dog looks still Young (?) and I am looking forward to watch Yuko-san and Chouchou's run in AWC!!

EO 最終日のラージファイナルのストリームの調子がわるかったのですが、
多分10走位みたところでドボン。。ストリームが中断され、そのまま終わってしまいました。。。結果的にはストリームが観れなくて怒っているたーくさんの人々の文句が混ざったチャットを読むはめに。。
懸命に中継チャットを続けてくれた人の中継を読んで優勝者が判明。。微妙。。
真夜中まで起きてたけど、微妙だったのだ。。

それにしても日本人ハンドラースゴイ
いつか世界一とって欲しいなぁ〜

European Open weekend!! 
We've got beer, olives and Dean's special pasta to watch last night!!
What a thrilling night to watch amazing handlers and dogs competing together. 
This year, I was so happy to watch very first Japanese Judge, Oba-sensei. 
and all Japanese handler's dramatic improvement.  
Team Japan's handling quality has gone up so so obviously.  Don't you think? 
Go Japan Go!!

And wow, so happy to see Zeljko got 5th and 11th on Jumping.

初日の昨日はビールとおつまみのオリーブやスナックを沢山買って
ディーンのパスタを食べながら鑑賞したのですが、毎年素晴らしいハンドラーと犬達がみれるEO　本当に興奮します〜
今年は大庭先生が初の日本人ジャッジとして参加している上、チームジャパンの
レベルの高さに驚きました！いやぁここ5年くらい毎年　見てますが
本当にここ最近で一気にレベルが上がったとおもいます。と思いませんか？
素晴らしい ですよね！　日本チャチャチャ！
来年は絶対応援にいくぞー

そしてジェリコが5位11位とジャンピングで上位にランクイン　ゴージェリコぉ
ゴーシルビア、ヨウニ　ジェニー！！

Susumu Yokota became particle

横田進さんが53歳で亡くなった事をちょうど一週間前くらいに聞いた。
でも実際になくなったのは今年、2015年の3月27日
長い病気のすえ永眠したそうです。

横田さんのレコード、本当になんどもなんども聞いたなぁ
東京でチルアウトのDJをしていた時、何度も何度も横田さんのレコードを選んだし、
ミックスにも何度も使った。いつもヘッドホンで聴いていたので細かい旋律と不並びのリズムとメロディに没頭した頃を凄く思い出した。　
とくに野外のレイブで何度もきいた。
やはり自然の中で聞くと彼の音楽はストーリーが凄く強くなる。
頭に風景と一緒にこのメロディがストーリーとして焼き付くから。
決して心地いいだけの音ではないんだけど、私は好き。

本当に本当にすきなアーティストなので　凄くショックでした。
ハラカミレイとDJ KLOCKが他界した時も　かなりショックを受けたけど、
今回は　なんだか随分遠くの世界に投げ出された気分になった。
海外にいて、彼の音楽を良く知っている友達とこの話題を共有出来ないっていうのも
その原因の一つかもしれないけど、なんだか大親友が亡くなったような気がした。　

横田さんが
”ぼくは将来、粉になりたい。粉はふっと吹いただけでバラバラになって、もう元のカタチには戻れない。ぼくは死ぬ直前に白い粉になりたい。いまは粉になるためのプロセスだと思っている」”　と言っていたと言う事を

↑で読んだのですが、　とても面白い考え方だと思いました。

私は今生きている時間を　どういう形で　表現して、一体何を残せるのかなと
よく考える事はあるけど、
反対にプロデューサーやアーティスト、常に何かを表現して制作し続けているひと達は
反対になにも表現しない状態を　”粉になる” 　と感じたのかもしれない。

白い粉はキラキラ光って微粒子になって宇宙まで舞い上がって消える。
でもまたいつか　きっと　別の表現者として戻って来て下さい。

35枚以上のアルバムを残したそうです。　
新しい音楽は聞けないけれど、これだけの音楽を残してくれたので
懐かしくなったら　これからもずっと聞きます。

またまた更新遅れています。

冬場は足下が緩いし、アジのレッスンも今は3週間のお休み中。
もうかれこれ1ヶ月完全にパソコンの前に座りっぱなし。
新しいビジネスとドラフトの仕事をずっとやってるのですが、、
エクセル、
書類、
メール、
請求書作成、
それから　いろんな　ビルをひたすらCADで描くという毎日。

山が見たい〜　
この写真の中の私と変わりたい。。
丁度去年の今頃だったなぁ

よし！明日もがんばるぞー
