Tassie Trip Day 9- Big Raining day-

We were so lucky that weather was absolutely great for the last 8 days!

we finally got strong rain this day - We were planned to go to visit cradle mountain, but we decided to just spend time near where we are staying.  Launceston was one hour away so we went to Thai restaurant and had nice Laksa for lunch!. Nice day to look around the town, 

Then we found small souvenirs at the antique shops (the last picture) for our self,

Cooked nice dinner and did Frisbee at the park.

this was almost the first day that dogs didn't get to swim! 

この日はクレイドルマウンテンに行くつもりだったのですが、

とうとう土砂降りの雨が降りました。

でもタスマニアは雨が多いのにこの8日間はすばらしい天気に恵まれたは

本当にラッキーでした！お陰でこの田舎町付近を探索して周りディーンも私も

アンティークショップで可愛い量りとパスタメーカーを見つけ

お土産に買いました！それからランセストンまで1時間ほどのだったのですが、

タイレストランへランチを食べに行きました。

ゆっくり街を検索するのも好きなので私には楽しかった：）

久しぶりに公園でフリスビーを楽しんだ犬達！

今日はタスマニアに来て初めて泳ぎませんでした！

Tassie Trip Day 8 -Lakes & Mountains

 

we are here to look at Liffey water falls

but unfortunately no-dogs :(

滝を見にきたけど残念ながら

ペットは禁止なので琴ニアは車で待機

 

 ふかふかでキラキラな散歩道を抜けると。。

Here is a waterfall, 

unfortunately not much water running

but very nice view and cool.

I felt it looks familiar scenery,

just like a Japanese Waterfall!

小さな滝！

まるで日本のような景色です

水が本当に奇麗て冷たい：）

 どんどん山奥へドライブ

  そして湖で遊んで泳いで

また別の湖で休憩。

ここは大きな岩とデッドツリーに覆われた

湖。デットツリーレイクと勝手に

名前を付けたけど、すこし不気味

でも琴ニアはやっぱり　いつでも嬉しそう

 凄い風景だ！

そして田園風景が永遠と続く。

 これが最後の宿泊先Mole Creek！犬も羊もいて

うちのシープドッグ達は大満足：）

コテージのオーナーは羊を飼っているので

今日は久しぶりにシープハーディングの練習をさせてもらいました！

が、、犬4匹と自由に暮らす羊達、、

完全に犬慣れした羊達と優しいニア君。。

羊達にあっちいけーー！と両前足でストンプされ、、

ちょっとビビっています。

コテージのオーナーはトリュフ探知犬のトレーナーです。

左の白黒のタスマニアンスミスフィールドは現役トリュフ犬！

ところで世界第三珍味の高級キノコトリュフの事はご存知ですか？

トリュフ

掘り当てるの犬よりもメス豚を使うとも言われていますが

タスマニアではスミスフィールドやビーグルが活躍しているようです！

因にスミスフィールドはサマーカットされています（笑）

Tassie Trip Day 8 -Happy 5th Birthday Koto!!

 

Happy Birthday to Koto !

She turned to BIG 5 when we were in Tasmania, on 17th February

I think she had the best birthday ever!!  

Start the day on the white sand beach,

did a long swimming & frisbee,

then drive around Tasmanian lake, world heritage area

and finally got to new cottage with many sheep!!

She has got new her favorite toy Piggy & lamb chop for Birthday present.

You are very very lucky!! And we are also very lucky to have you here with us,

Happy 5th birthday ! 

Tassie Trip -Day 7 Move to North Mountains-

Tasman peninsula was absolutely beautiful - I actually didn't move back to

North yet -  but we also wanted to see mountain side of Tasmania.

Day 7 was moving day - to the home of cradle mountain.

タスマン半島があまりにも奇麗だったので、移動日だったこの日はかなり

残念でした。。 でも世界遺産の大森林もみてみたいのでいざ

クレイドルマウンテンカウントリーを目指して大移動！

バイバイ、タスマン半島。。

次回来る時は火事から再生された緑の深い森林となっているでしょう。

タスマニアデビルも数が増えます様に。。

 ドライブ中はこんな風景が続く

 岩山が多いのです。

 そして湖があちらこちらへと見えてくる

 それにしてもフォレスター！乗り心地抜群です。運転もしやすい〜

4時間ほど一気にドライブして　

目的地のMoleCreekへ到着！

Tassie Trip Day 6 -Tasman Peninsula walk

We did few walks around Tasman Peninsula the rest of the days,
coast line is very interesting in this peninsula- 
absolutely beautiful scenery!
残りの時間は海岸沿いを歩いたり別のビーチへ行ってみたりして過ごしました。
コーストラインは本当に迫力満点の素晴らしい風景：）

Tassie Trip Day 6 -Port Arthur Historic site

 

Port Arthur historic site used to be prison - England prisoner has sent to Tasmania from England and Port Arthur became a small village of who look
after prison.
Site contains more than 30 historic buildings, extensive ruins and beautiful 
ground and gardens.  Very much like Tasmania's top tourist attraction, but 
we could take dogs to the site! (it is not common that we can
take dogs to public attractions or national parks in Australia) 
so we enjoyed walking around with Koto and Niah and enjoyed reading of History of port arthur :) Great place for the morning walk!
ポートアーサーには以前刑務所がありました。イギリスから島流しとされた人々の刑務所、いわゆる流刑植民地があり、2010年、ユネスコの世界遺産にオーストラリアの囚人遺跡群として登録されました。宿泊先のコテージのオーナーが犬もつれて行けるわよ、と教えてくれたので朝の散歩ついでに行ってみましたが歴史を学びながら琴ニアと歩けるのは楽しかった。でも実はこの穏やかで美しいこの場所で　今ではよく耳にする大量殺人事件が96年に起ったらしいです。突然カフェで食事を終えた男性が店の客に対し「白人ばっかりだ、ジャップは少ないな」と言うと、店内に入り黒いスポーツバッグからライフルを取り出し無差別に発射、わずか90秒で20人もの人を殺害したらしい。
この人の言葉が気になります。。”ジャップは少ないな。”
日本人である私はなぜか何かが気になり居心地が悪いのでした：）
